The Little House

I found this on YouTube today and had to post it. This Disney adaptation of Virginia Lee Burton’s 1943 Caldecott-winning picture book, The Little House, was one of my favorite, favorite, favorite cartoons when I was a kid. If you haven’t ever read the book or seen the film, you’ll have to check it out to see why it’s very ironic that a.) this book was ever made into a film, and b.) that film is now available on the Internet. I can only imagine that Ms. Burton is on a cloud somewhere rolling her eyes and clucking her tongue. Still, the cartoon is way cute, Disney at its old-fashioned best.
